What if AI could be used to support deeper student thinking in assesments?
Join NC State University’s Professor Edgar Lobaton from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering on April 10 from 2–3 PM ET. He’ll share how he uses the Kritik toolkit to guide students from open-ended, AI-supported brainstorming to more focused, concept-driven application in his Neuro Networks course.
Through authorship transprency with VisibleAI and peer assessment with Kritik360, Dr. Lobaton designs assignments that help students explore ideas individually, apply course concepts more intentionally, and contribute to stronger, more diverse group project proposals.
In this session, you’ll explore how to:
- Structure AI use in two phases, from exploration to application
- Design assignments that move students beyond surface-level AI outputs
- Connect individual work to stronger, more collaborative group projects
- Use peer feedback to improve the quality of student thinking and outcomes
